Stratford-On-Avon City Council Built in Quality Awards 2010

Local company design new showroom identity for Honda is through to the final in the Local Authority Building Control [LABC] awards.

InterTech have worked closely with Honda UK for the last two years developing a new corporate showroom identity for its Power Equipment division. The very first concept showroom which opened 2009 "Sims Garden Machinery" situated in Stratford-On-Avon designed and built by Hull company InterTech has got through to the finals in a Built in Quality Awards hosted by Stratford-On-Avon City Council on the 12 March. Tony Perks from Stratford building control said "we are always looking to deliver quality projects and when we find exceptional quality we feel that it should be recognised. The LABC Built in Quality Awards are fast becoming the most highly regarded and envied awards in all sectors of the construction industry. The Built in Quality Awards objectively identify and reward builders and developers who achieve the very highest standards in building construction across the full range of building sectors. All projects where Local Authority Building Control (LABC) has been used are eligible for inclusion and all types of works have been assessed; from small domestic extensions through to large multi-millon pound developments. Our Building Control Surveyors nominated the projects that they feel illustrate good quality construction or innovative use of building technology".

Quality is a team effort and entrants can include developers, architects and designers, consultants or main contractors. The awards are made by judges who are independent and not controlled by companies or commercial interests. The awards will be presented by Paul Everall Chief Executive of the Local Authority Building Control and the event is an ideal opportunity for developers, designers and architects to promote their businesses and to meet the other winners.
